How are patches rated?
Each patch is scored on slope angle, tree density, and vertical drop — the three factors that make great tree skiing.
Excellent
The best tree skiing terrain. Long runs with 450m+ vertical drop through steep, well-spaced birch forest. The kind of lines you plan a trip around.
Good
Solid tree skiing with good vertical and terrain. Reliable runs with 350–450m drop through well-spaced forest. Great alternatives when the top-rated lines are tracked out.
Ok
Shorter tree runs with 300–350m vertical drop. Still quality terrain worth skiing, especially when avalanche conditions push you toward lower or more sheltered lines.
